Just go to Home Depot or Lowe’s & ask the guys in the ceramic tile department. You dont need to make the stuff yourself, they sell the dry ingredients in (usually) 40 lb. bags, just add water.
A uneven cement floor will require a self leveling compound. Using a thinset isn t recommended since the compression rate for a thinset isn t high enough to be able to use it. A sand/ cement mix wont allow you to go to a feather ( thin) finish like a leveling compound will. Now if your dips/ uneveness is an 1/8 inch or less you can use thin set Any questions you can e mail me GL

their is flore leveler that u can buy & u just put it down & it will level itsself with a bit of movement then tile it over

my daddy is a tile dude just try layering it like do 1 layer & then let it dry then put more cement over the uneven spot hope this helps good luck
